about ken Ken Brown graduated from Reno High School and the University of Nevada with a B.S. in Accounting. While attending the University of Nevada, Ken was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

His varied work experience over the years include 17 years conducting regulatory audits for the Nevada Public Service Commission, (Currently the Public Utilities Commission), two years as an investigator for the Nevada Gaming Control Board and has been in business doing tax prepar-ation, bookkeeping, and consulting since 1997. Ken specializes in quality bookkeeping and tax services for individuals and small businesses.

Ken has been a resident of Carson City since 1980 and has served as Vice-President of the Carson City Debt Service Committee, is currently on the Carson City Internal Audit Committee, is Treasurer of the Nevada Day Board of Directors and is the lay member of the Northern Nevada Attorney/Client Fee Dispute Committee.

A former marathon runner (now a jogger) with 23 finishes to his credit including two Boston Marathons, Ken has climbed Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa, hiked in Patagonia in both Chile and Argentina, and hiked in the Annapurna Sanctuary to the base camp of Annapurna South in Nepal. He also enjoys hunting and camping and spends a good deal of quality time in the wild portions of the Western States.
